This Is Your Sign to Become a LocalStack Champion

We’re launching the LocalStack Champions program to recognize developers who build, share, and support others in the community. If you’re creating content, helping in Slack, or building with LocalStack, this is your opportunity to get recognized.

This Is Your Sign to Become a LocalStack Champion

If you’ve spent any time in the LocalStack community, you’ve seen what it looks like when developers genuinely care.

The tutorials. The GitHub repos that save you hours. The Slack reply that arrives at exactly the right moment and unblocks your entire afternoon.

LocalStack has always been been fortunate to have a community of developers who build, share, and help each other move faster. Today, we’re officially recognizing the people who make that possible. Read on for details about the program qualifications and how to apply.

Introducing LocalStack Champions

LocalStack Champions is a global recognition program for developers who actively build with LocalStack and share what they learn along the way.

Champions aren’t employees or sponsored influencers. They’re independent community leaders who use LocalStack in real-world projects and choose to give back — through tutorials, videos, sample apps, honest feedback, and answered questions that make the entire LocalStack experience better.

Why We’re Launching This Now

As more developers have started building their cloud infrastructure locally, LocalStack’s community has grown alongside them. But great developer experience doesn’t scale through documentation alone. It scales through people.

We’ve seen firsthand how powerful a single community contribution can be: a tutorial that unlocks a workflow someone had been stuck on for days, a sample app that cuts onboarding time in half, a Slack answer that saves hours of debugging, or a piece of feedback that directly shapes a product decision.

LocalStack Champions is our way of recognizing that impact — and investing in the people behind it.

What Champions Do

Champions are builders who learn in public.

Each Champion contributes at least two pieces of LocalStack-related content per year. A blog post, video, conference talk, or example project. Beyond that, many stay active in Slack, help others troubleshoot, and share the kind of candid feedback that makes the product better. Some go further and speak at meetups or conferences, bringing real-world LocalStack experience to broader audiences.

There’s no rigid checklist here. We care about meaningful contribution, not box-checking.

What Champions Receive

Champions receive support designed to amplify their work and deepen their connection with the LocalStack team, including:

  • Free LocalStack for AWS Ultimate tier and LocalStack for Snowflake licenses
  • Exclusive Champions swag
  • Early access to new features
  • Private sessions with the LocalStack team
  • Promotion of their content across LocalStack channels
  • Champion badges for Slack, GitHub, and LinkedIn
  • Priority consideration for speaking opportunities
  • Travel or speaking support for approved events

The goal is simple: support the people who support the community.

Who Should Apply

You might be a great fit if you’re already using LocalStack and sharing that experience with others.

Champions are developers who create technical content, contribute to the community, and genuinely enjoy helping other builders succeed. You don’t need to be a LocalStack expert. We value curiosity, consistency, and a willingness to learn out loud.

If you’ve published tutorials, videos, or projects in the past year and want to go deeper with LocalStack, we’d love to hear from you.

How the Program Works

Developers can apply directly or be nominated by someone in the community. The LocalStack team reviews applications and invites selected Champions to join a yearly cohort, where they’re onboarded and given access to all program benefits.

Each cohort runs for one year, with the opportunity to renew based on continued engagement.
